ProjectsAnnual Youth Conference

Too often in life, we are all confronted with challenges and fears that can keep us from either growing or succeeding. The challenges often appear in the form of alcohol and other drugs, negative peers, risky behaviors, distractions from school or family, unexpected personal hardships, and many other tests of will.

The fears usually stem right from the challenges. We fear failure so we don't try to get out of our comfort zones. We fear rejection so we go along with whatever "the crowd" is doing. We fear the unknown that lies over the horizon when we encounter personal hardship or tragedy.

However, as strange as it may seem, being "uncomfortable" is a very necessary part of life.

When we are uncomfortable in some way, that means we are growing in another. When we say "no" to what is popular with the crowd, we are standing up and asserting ourselves. When we decide to cope with a hard situation, rather than succumbing to it, we are succeeding in the face of adversity.

When we encounter challenges and fears, the way that we confront them and deal with them could possibly determine a new course in our lives.

Thus, if we don't think it's right, we choose not to fall in with what everyone else is doing. We choose to try out new, positive things that are healthy for us and the course of our lives. We choose not to let adversity and hardship determine who we are and how we will live our lives.

We choose not to live behind the scene.

We choose to Live Out Loud!
